If sitting behind a desk at a computer screen is a standard workday for you, then listen up! Sitting all day will kill you – okay, so that’s a little dramatic, but it is a serious problem. Nilofer Merchant believes it is the ‘smoking of our generation’.
We sit on average for 9.3 hours a day and this sedentary state is the cause of serious diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. Sitting all day is an enemy to our health and wellbeing.
